Barbara McLaughlin joined The Child and Family Network Centers in Alexandria, Virginia (CFNC) as the Executive Director in June 2022. Wharton Club members and guests are invited! You may attend online.

Barbara McLaughlin, the Executive Director of The Child and Family Network Centers (CFNC) in Alexandria, Virginia since June 2022, is passionate about CFNC's mission to provide free, high-quality education and related services to under-resourced children and families in their neighborhoods.

With a focus on achieving equity, CFNC creates happy learners, builds strong relationships with parents, and hires teachers from the same communities as the children. Barbara, a former attorney, brings extensive nonprofit experience in Early Childhood Education and race equity.

Under her leadership, CFNC has increased teacher salaries, introduced an innovative "Feelings Time" curriculum, and improved efficiencies to allocate more funds directly to programming. Barbara is thrilled to lead CFNC, a historically impactful agency dedicated to providing quality early education and empowering families.
